This is the time of year when Big Changes happens. In the midst of the turmoil, what could leaders do to make sure that we, as a team can not only survive but also be motivated to climb the next height? I pulled the article I wrote a while ago summing up some change management tips from A. Cropley.. Key points list below but I strongly encourage you to scroll down to read the article in full. People don’t leave bad organization; people leave bad managers. Don’t become the reason your good people leave. Communicate with simplicity, communicate with honestly, and communicate with frequency. organised
1.It is ok that you don’t have all answers. Just listen to your people and allow them to vent
2.Retain your best people by repetitive explanation, clarification, communication, meet face to face whenever possible.
3.Sign posting the route forward and role modeling when you know more
4.Engage and encourage the team whenever possible.
5.Create small and reachable milestones& Celebrate success often
6.Lastly, answer the list of questions highlighted at the end of this article. Read the below 1-pager in full and understand what change management is all about. Know yourself to better support your team.
